About this game
Badge Binder is a memory game about pairs. You see a set of holders, each with a badge. After they disappear, one holder is highlighted and you pick the badge that belonged to it.
The task is based on paired-associate learning, where you learn that one item goes with another. It is how we remember names with faces or words with their meanings, and it is a different skill from remembering a plain list.
How to play
- Look at each holder and the badge that goes with it.
- When they hide, one holder is highlighted.
- Pick its badge from the choices. More holders appear as you improve.
Tips
- Give each badge a quick label, such as red star or blue wave, and link it to the holder.
- Look for one clear detail on each badge that makes it different.
- Look at every pair once before the cue appears. Repeating it in your head helps.
How it adapts
Kids get fewer holders and more time to look. Teens and adults see more holders and less study time. The number of pairs adjusts as you play.
