About this game
Gate Audit is a rule-checking game. A rule like 'If a parcel has a circle, it must have a stripe' appears, and you find the one parcel that breaks it before time runs out.
It is based on conditional reasoning, and in particular the Wason selection task, a famous puzzle about how people check 'if–then' rules. Most people are better at finding what breaks a rule than at confirming it, and this game trains exactly that.
How to play
- Read the rule at the top.
- Look at each parcel and check whether it follows the rule.
- Tap the parcel that breaks it. If you miss, you see why.
Tips
- Check the if part before the must part.
- A parcel only breaks the rule if it meets the 'if' and fails the 'must'.
- Parcels that don't meet the 'if' can't break the rule, so ignore them.
How it adapts
Kids get simple one-part rules. Teens and adults get rules with more parts and negations. The rule complexity adjusts to how you play.
